Our projects and Useful Things
Dhammasālā Insulation and ceiling
This is our biggest concern. The Dhammasālā is currently closed until November due to the heat. Last summer the temperature measured 140 ℉ at the ceiling inside and 107℉ at the floor. With these high temperatures the ceiling fans and a/c don't make the slightest difference. In order to keep the Dhammasālā useful year round, the ceiling needs to be finished, which means insulation and ceiling to cover it. Project estimate if a professional is needed $5k, if labor is donated, about $2k for materials.

Nissarana Kuti
Nissarana is our first kuti. It is my retreat kuti.

We are working on purchasing solar panels and a solar generator that can power the refrigerator and fans during extended electrical outages.
We also welcome rent-free use or donation of a small farm in a quiet/isolated area with a water well or where a well can be dug.
