☸️Growing in Dhamma and Vinaya ☸️

Anicca, Anatta, Dukkha - the tilakkhana are ubiquitous because they are embedded in all conditioned things. Bhava Nirodha Nilaya is changing. We're growing in the Dhamma and Vinaya. Ayyā Mārajinā's work has been in Cuba and Latin America and this will continue but we're also working here in north Florida, near Gainesville. We aspire to open our space to monastic life aspirants.

In the West coast of the U.S., Canada, Thailand, Sri Lanka and elsewhere bhikkhunī presence has been steadily growing. Monasteries and hermitages have been opening. In the East coast of the United States as well but not as quickly. Bhava Nirodha Nilaya aspires to be a quiet monastic training space for women with a dedicated focus on bhavana (mental cultivation), specifically meditation. We invite quiet dedicated practitioners of the Dhamma Vinaya with a monastic life aspiration to consider visiting.

*** Minimal Requirements:

Familiarity with the Dhamma as practiced in the Theravada tradition (we aren't and don't wish to be affiliated with any specific lineage).

Has received instruction and has been practicing Samatha or Vipassana.

Healthy body and mind. No obstructive physical or mental issues.

Financial ability to support one's health with insurance or savings.

Comfortable in an outdoor setting where there are ticks, chiggers, venomous snakes... heat, cold, mosquitoes, gadflies...

Under 50 years of age.

Can practice independently, benefitting from a light schedule, not prone to needless talking or need of company.

Recommendation from an established Theravada community or known to Ayyā Mārajinā.

We have roughly five acres of fenced, wooded property with one Dhammasālā (our gratitude and construction) one cabin tent and one kuti thus far. We can currently accept one aspirant. Please apply on contact form.

In order to begin acceptance of other women monastic life aspirants and for longer terms we need support.

Our growth can benefit from one or two additional kutis, an outdoor outhouse / bathroom and insulation in the Dhammasālā. Clearing of felled trees, exceeive vine growth and sick trees may also be need. The total cost for the projects is estimated at approximately $25k. But ongoing support / dāna is essential for our success.

Presently, we are without a dedicated financial team, bank accounts or 501c3 status. International donations welcome.
